Out in the Community

At JPC Care and Support, Out in the Community sessions are designed to give young adults real-world experiences that build independence, social skills, and confidence. Exploring the community helps participants apply everyday skills in practical settings while enjoying new adventures.

What We Do:
-
Local Trips – visits to shops, parks, museums, and cultural events.
-
Life Skills in Action – practicing budgeting, travel, and communication in real-life situations.
-
Social Interaction – meeting new people, making friends, and developing teamwork.
-
Fun & Learning – combining enjoyable activities with meaningful skill-building.

These experiences allow young adults to gain confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging while connecting with their wider community. Each outing is carefully planned to be safe, accessible, and rewarding for everyone.

Our Goal:
To empower participants to navigate the world around them, enjoy new experiences, and develop skills that support lifelong independence.
